Viewing a computer's inventory

It is useful to know a computer's inventory, for example the physical memory and hard disk size. If you have this option, the Inventory tab enables you to view detailed information about the computer.

To view a computer's inventory

From the left-hand pane, expand Computers and choose All Computers.
From the right-hand pane, right-click the computer and from the menu, choose Properties.
Select the Inventory tab.
Click OK to close the Properties window.

Notes

Computer properties are also available by selecting the computer and choosing in the toolbar, or from the File menu choosing Properties.
You can use the same process to view the inventory of multiple computers. Use the All Computers list to select the required computers. (You can filter the list by Name or Value to easily find a particular inventory item or value, for example all computers that have service pack XP SP2).
